I'm friends with Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy, Robbie Kreiger of the doors, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, Nils Lofgren of Bruce Springsteen's E Street band - enough names dropped yet? OK - so its a small exaggeration to say "friends with" but I have hung out and chatted with the aforementioned!! I'm a HUGE doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher fan and I'm also a huge radio fan. Which makes Nova 100 so exciting! Classic rock radio for my hometown!! Isn't it great to know that to get your fix of real rock music, you soon won't have to log on to a classic rock station on the net, in some far flung corner of the world - Nova will be here, in Dublin, for Dublin and the commuter belt. AND its an amazing feeling to know that soon, I'll be on Radio Nova playing the music I truly feel passionate about.. the kinda tunes you've loved forever too!
Radio and me baby...
I've been on the radio in Ireland since I was 16 years of age, starting at Beaumont hospital radio and getting as far and as big as you can get in the independent radio sector: 100-102 Today FM.
Along the way I've worked at some of Ireland's biggest local stations like 98FM, Q102, FM104, South East Radio, Spin 1038.. But honestly, I'm really looking forward to no longer playing Katy Perry and David Guetta on the radio and playing the tunes we old rockers totally love!
I'm the only presenter in Ireland to bring Classic Rock to a national level over the last number of years on Today FM. Concept creator, producer and presenter of the award winning "Dad Rock" - Sunday Nights.
I've also helped out my friends at Zenith Classic Rock, in the south east of Ireland, guest presenting weekend shows, which was a real blast!
Throughout the years I've won over 15 radio awards and now I can't wait to rock out with you on NOVA!
