Owners Of The Clarence Hotel Apply To Add Another 54 Rooms

Developers have applied to an Bord Pleanala to double the bed space in the Clarence Hotel in Dublin.

The Press Up Entertainment Group recently invested in the hotel that’s co-owned by Bono and The Edge – and is looking to capitalise on its investment by adding another 54 bedrooms to the hotel.

Currently, there are 59 rooms.

The rooms earmarked for the transformation are vacant offices on the second and third floor beside the protected Dollard House.

It comes 11 years after another application to redevelop the boutique hotel – however that plan was shelved because of the recession in 2009.
