Around 1,800 jobs are being axed from Aviva’s global workforce over the next three years.
The insurance giant employs 1-thousand 580 people here and says it is “too early to comment on the impact on Aviva Ireland.”
Aviva says it wants to reduce costs by €338 million a year.
The company is planning to keep redundancies to a minimum and says some of the job losses will come from natural staff turnover.
