A 19-year-old man has been refused bail after being charged with breaching COVID-19 movement laws.

Aaron Tyrrell of Woodhazel Close, Ballymun appeared before Dublin District Court this afternoon to face four charges relating to dates between the 8th and 21st of April.

The court heard that two members of the accused’s household tested positive for the virus.

Gardaí say Aaron Tyrrell was observed on four occasions in public and offered no reasonable explanation as to why he was out.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Friday.
