Alec Baldwin is the latest big name to join the cast of the forthcoming ‘Joker’ movie, which stars Joaquin Phoenix in the title role.
The Oscar-nominated star will play Bruce Wayne’s father Thomas, although it’s believed that the movie will take his character in an entire new direction.
Baldwin’s character’s has been described as “a cheesy and tanned businessman who is more in the mould of a 1980s Donald Trump”.
He joins a cast that sees Phoenix as the iconic villain, as well as Robert DeNiro as a talk show host who plays an important role in the the Joker’s life.
The film directed by The Hangover’s Todd Phillips is set for release in October 2019.
