Lemmy’s favorite bar & grill will host a special tribute to the Motörhead frontman this Saturday. Lemmy was a regular visitor to the Rainbow Bar and Grill on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

He was there so often that owner Mikael Maglieri even moved his favourite video game into the musician’s home for his final hours. Lemmy would often visit the bar for a drink and to play the game.

On December 28th the Motörhead  frontman and bassist passed away after a short battle with cancer. It was an extremely aggressive form of cancer and he was only diagnosed with the illness on December 26th.

Since the news of his passing some of rock and roll’s biggest names paid tribute to the rock icon. Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Gene Simmons as well as a friend of some 38 years Ozzy Osbourne, all paid tribute to Lemmy.

Motörhead released their new album Bad Magic last year, the band’s 22nd studio album overall. They toured North America last year but they had to cancel a number of shows due to Lemmy being ill.

The band made a statement after his death regarding the future of the band “Motörhead is over, of course. Lemmy was Motörhead. We won’t be doing any more tours or anything. And there won’t be any more record.”
