Some of the most popular broadband and mobile services are hiking their prices.

Three, Vodafone, Eir and Sky customers will see an increase in their bills as part of the new changes.

The price of TV and broadband bills will rise for Sky customers in a first price hike since 2018, the TV provider confirmed that a minimum 5.1% increase will be implemented.

This means patrons will pay around €54 extra each year.

The State’s largest telecoms provider, Eir, is to hit its residential customers with an 8pc rise. Some business customers face a 10pc price hike.

The provider has moved to a controversial system of automatic 3pc plus inflation rises every April.

From yesterday Vodafone is increasing prices by 11.2pc for some customers

Three customers who joined after November 2021 will see a 4.5% annual price adjustment on their bills, including Three Broadband and 12-month Sim Only plans.

Daragh Cassidy, Head of Communications at Bonkers.ie says it pays to switch providers.

“There is still good competition for the telecommunications providers for new costumers. So I would definitely advice people if think they are overpaying for their broadband or TV to look at the options that are out there. Its usually quick and easy to switch.”
