Broadway will not be reopening in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This is the fourth time the Broadway League has announced a delay on the reopening.
Broadway shows went dark on March 12th, which has been the longest shutdown in history.
At the time, there were 31 shows running, including eight still in previews; with another eight in rehearsals before beginning previews.
In a statement the president of the Broadway League Charlotte St. Martin said:
“We are determined to bring back the people who rely on this industry for their livelihood, and to welcome back all those who love this vital part of New York City, as soon as it is safe to do so.”
