Cathy Davey Set To Perform At Dublin Gig Tomorrow

The Meteor-award winning Cathy Davey is set to perform on Thursday 18th October at The Globe on South Great George’s Street.

Tickets are now on sale for a special performance from Cathy Davey tomorrow from 8pm onwards.

The Dublin singer-songwriter who has been referred to as referred to as ‘Ireland’s Björk ‘ will be joined by Stuart Clark from Hotpress for an intimate interview.

The Archway Series is a celebration of great moments in Irish music through the eyes of the musicians.

Cathy Davey has released one EP, “Come Over” (2004), and four albums, Somehting Ilk, Takes Of Silversleeve, The Nameless and New Forest.

Her second album garnered her a Choice Music Prize Nomination, a Meteor Award for Best Irish Female, and spawned a number of successful singles including ‘Reuben’, ‘Moving’ and ‘Sing for Your Supper’.

The Nameless was the top selling album in Ireland upon the week of its release. It was also nominated for the Choice Music Prize.

Hot Press’s Stuart Clark will be asking Cathy about her greatest musical moments to date and ticket holders will have exclusive access to stories detailing her career highs and lows, as well as insights into the current Irish music landscape, interspersed with performances from Cathy’s favourite songs from her career.
