Muse performed an instrumental cover of the Smashing Pumpkins‘ classic ‘Cherub Rock’ and ‘Zero’ live recently. The clips are streaming below.
The group was playing a show at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, when they paid tribute to the city’s hometown legends with a lively cover of the Pumpkins’ hit single ‘Siamese Dream’.

Muse then acknowledged the Cherub rockers later in the set when they included an albeit brief but meaty instrumental cover of ‘Zero’ from Smashin Pumpkins excellent double album ‘Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness. That was when Muse were treating the crowd ‘15 minutes of metal’ medley’ which they unleashed last week at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
