A Peaky Blinders film starring Cillian Murphy is to come to Netflix, it has been confirmed.
Oscar winner Cillian Murphy is to reprise his role as gangster Tommy Shelby for this movie, which will follow on from the popular Netflix series, which ran from 2013 to 2022.
The series’ creator Steven Knight had previously revealed that Murphy was to return for the spin-off movie.
“Murphy is definitely returning for [the movie]”, Steven Knight had previously said. “We’re shooting it in September just down the road in Digbeth”. More on this from Nova here.

Yesterday, a photo was shared by Netflix via their X account which featured a script titled “A Peaky Blinders Film”, with Tom Harper confirmed as director.
“It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me,” Cillian Murphy said in a statement.
“It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders”, the actor added. “This is one for the fans”.
Following the conclusion to the Peaky Blinders series, Cillian Murphy has enjoyed further success.
