Coldplay are donating a signed guitar complete with a cartoon drawn by Chris Martin to a charity auction held by Dreams Come True.

Children’s charity Dreams Come True are holding a silent auction next Thursday (May 28th) where the guitar will enter bidding at £2500 (€3523). The person with the highest bid will also receive a lithograph of Coldplay’s latest album cover art.

Frontman Chris Martin spoke about the reason Coldplay got involved with the auction: “We were so inspired when we heard about Rob’s Marathon Challenge to raise money for Dreams Come True. It’s fantastic organisation and we hope that plenty of money is raised from the auction to make more children’s dreams come true.”

Head of marketing and fundraising at Dreams Come True, Sue Fowler, extended her gratitude to the band by adding: “This is an amazing opportunity to take home a one of a kind piece of Coldplay memorabilia – a must have for any fan! The money raised will help us give hope and empower children and young people by making their dreams come true.”
