Commuters Face More Travel Disruptions Ahead Of Storm Emma

Commuters face more travel disruption today – ahead of blizzard like conditions.

With almost 450 flights cancelled yesterday – Dublin airport says it expects today will be challenging.

Aerlingus and Ryanair have cancelled some flights at Dublin and Cork including one at Ireland West Airport in Knock. Cork airport is closed until at least 8 o’clock.

Crews have been working throughout the night to keep the runways clear but passengers are being urged to check with their airline before heading to the airport.

Bus Eireann has cancelled all services across the country and there’s no Dublin Bus.

Irish Rail is operating for now but it warns there are alterations, some cancellations and people can expect delays.

It will begin scaling back from 12 o’clock this afternoon before all services stop nationwide at 2pm.

Services on the Luas are running on both lines every 30 minutes – they’ll stop from midday.
