Concerns are growing over the plan for the housing development on the busy road in Marino.
Plans for 380 apartments up to eight storeys tall on Griffith Avenue would break Dublin City Council’s height threshold by more than 60%.
Councillors have been told the Government’s new guidelines on height which were introduced in December would trump the council’s rules.
