Seán O’Neill from 1, Sunday School Lane, Blackpool, placed the advertisement on the Donedeal website. The festival tickets were priced at a total of €300 for the pair as well as a fee for €18.90 handling charge.

The woman from Letterkenny sent the money to O’Neill’s account and waited for the tickets that never came.

Sergeant Ann Marie Twomey told Cork District Court that the woman  never received compensation for her loss. Judge Olann Kelleher made a six-month sentence for O’Neill for stealing the cash from the tickets con.
