Dermot Kennedy has been voted the top Live Act of 2022 in the Ticketmaster Awards with over 25,000 people casting their votes for their favourite acts and events of last year.
It’s another boon for the young Dubliner who’s headlined Electric Picnic; played sold-out shows; performed in South America, the US, the UK, Asia and Europe; amassed millions of streams; won the Choice Music Prize for Song of the Year with Better Days; raised huge amounts through his charity busks and gigs all while releasing a brand new album.

Scottish warbler Paolo Nutini took the award for Intimate Gig of the Year while Riverdance remains as popular as ever by landing the Theatre & Arts event.
Top of the Irish Rising Star category were Silverbacks while Joanne McNally was the favourite Comedy Event of the year.

The sun drenched July clash of Kerry v Dublin in the All-Ireland Football Semi-final was the top sports events in 2022 according to Ticketmaster users.
The awards celebrate the best of live events in 2022 giving the nation the chance to relieve their favourite moments through public vote.
Ticketmaster Ireland MD Keith English said of the awards: “2022 was a fantastic year for live events in Ireland. There were phenomenal performances from some of the world’s biggest stars, as well as emerging local talent to keep an eye on, unforgettable sporting moments, and arts that made us laugh and cry.
