Driver Flees After Crashing Into Three People Outside A Pub

Gardaí are looking for information concerning a serious hit-and-run which took place on Market Street, Ardee, Co Louth this morning.

At roughly 1.15am, three people – two women, (21) and (20), and a man, (53) were hit by a silver Vauxhall Vectra which drove up on to the footpath and failed to come to halt. This car was later found crashed and deserted a short distance away.

All three injured pedestrians were rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. There they were treated for various injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have information or dash cam footage to contact Ardee Garda Station on 041-687 1134, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. Investigations are continuing.
