Dublin Faces New Restrictions Under Living With Covid Plan

The Government has unveiled its new Living With Covid plan detailing how the country will operate over the next six months with the new measures starting from midnight tonight.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that protecting public health remains an absolute priority and that: “Each of us has a personal responsibility to try and limit its spread.”

Under the five stage plan the Government hope that the measures put in place will help stop the escalation of Covid-19 throughout the country.

While the whole country is currently at level two new tighter restrictive measures will be put into place in Dublin from midnight tonight after a rise in Covid-19 cases in recent weeks.

Speaking about the restrictions Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the current Covid-19 numbers in Dublin are “very worrying” and said that additional measures will be introduced based on recommendations from NPHET on Thursday.
