Gardaí are investigating an alleged aggravated burglary in Mulhuddart in Dublin.
On Friday evening an elderly female was allegedly threatened by masked men who entered her home.
According to reports, the pensioner was hit in the head with a hammer during the theft.
A sum of cash was taken before the raiders fled the scene.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are investigating an alleged aggravated burglary which occurred on the Powerstown Rd, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 on the 16th November 2018 at approximately 8.30pm.
“The elderly female was allegedly threatened by masked men who entered her premises. A small sum of cash was taken and investigations are ongoing.”
