Tonight – Friday 25th August
Search Party Animal play upstairs in Whelan’s. Irish band Search Party Animal have been playing together from the age of 14 and are becoming known for their energetic live shows. Tickets are €12 and it kicks off at 8pm.
Gigonometry Presents is on tonight in The Workmans Club on Wellington Quay. The third in the series of seasonal ‘Best of…’ gigs for acts that have played before, features an all-female all-acoustic line-up featuring super siblings CARRON, the effortlessly avant-garde and equally brilliant I Am Niamh, doubly-hot duo Hvmmingbyrd, and leaving the kit and amp at home we have a very rare acoustic set from Molly & Kaz aka Vulpynes! Kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets are €10.
Ireland’s Got Comedy Talent is on in The Laughter Lounge tonight. Twelve of Ireland’s best up-and-coming acts will be given the chance to showcase their talent by competing for a cash prize. Tickets are €26 and doors open at 8pm.
Saturday 26th August
Standback – The Stevie Nicks Experience is on tonight in The Button Factory. Featuring a full replica of Stevie Nick’s 1970s band we will perform some of her most iconic solo hits and also hits from her Fleetwood Mac collection. Tickets are €25 and doors are at 7.30pm.
Mike Brookfield plays The Salty Dog Skerries tonight from 10pm. This is your last chance to catch a sneak-peek of the warm-up show for his official ‘live launch’ in Whelan’s on the 26th of September.
Aslan play in Lucan Sarsfields GAA club tonight as part of Rock The Lock! Doors are at 7.30pm and tickets are €20. You must be over 18 to attend.
Sunday 27th August
Ziggy Williams plays Whelans tonight. Ziggy Alberts is a coastal folk, singer/songwriter, free surfer & environmental enthusiast from the East Coast of Australia. He sings heartfelt stories of personal endeavours and experiences. Tickets are €22 and it starts at 8pm.
The Ukelele Hooley continues today in Dun Laoighre. The People’s Park will play host to the festival’s biggest event, The Big Ukelele Hooley Concert. This eight-hour-long free concert in the beautiful People’s park will feature some of the world’s most talented artists and groups. Entry is FREE, kicks off at 12pm.
The Comedy Crunch is on at The Stag’s Head tonight with Gar Murren. StandUp Comedy Downstairs Bar THE STAGS HEAD Doors 8:15pm, show starts at 9pm FREE ENTRY & FREE ICE-CREAM!!
Riverdance continues at The Gaiety Theatre today at 5pm. For over 20 years, nothing has carried the energy, the sensuality and the spectacle of Riverdance. Riverdance returns home to Dublin to the Gaiety Theatre from 21st June to 3rd September 2017. Tickets start at €31.
