An investigation is underway into an alleged sexual assault in Dublin.
A woman in her 20s told gardaí it happened at around 9pm on Friday on the Drimnagh Road.
Gardaí said in a statement that there had been “no arrests at this time”. It added: “Owing to the nature of the investigation we will not be commenting further at this time.”
According to media outlets, a well known Irish sports star allegedly carried out a sexual assaulted on a young woman close to a West Dublin pub on Friday night.
Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
The Mirror reports that the same sports star is under investigation for the alleged rape of a woman at a Dublin hotel back in December 2018.
