Finglas Easter Egg Hunt For Children

An Easter egg hunt for children with disabilities will still go ahead in Finglas in Dublin tomorrow despite a number of attacks on the group.

In the latest incident, the group was attacked by a local gang with bricks on Tuesday.

Parents and volunteers supporting all children in the community with intellectual, physical and mental health issues set up the group in 2010.

They have allotments at the back on the old Ardmore Hotel – but say the site has been robbed and vandalized in recent times.

Sandra Dillon, one of the women behind the group says they were in the garden this week when they were attacked says:

“The experience was terrifying and the volunteers are abused constantly..since the attack we’ve had a lot of support from the community and we plan to go ahead with their Easter egg hunt tomorrow.”
