Gardaí have arrested four people in relation to an armed robbery at a Carlow filling station early this morning.
Shortly after 2.30am two men, one carrying a gun and the other with a knife, entered the Topaz on the M9 at Tinryland.
They threatened staff and fired a shot, but no one was injured.

They made off in a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf with a small sum of cash.
Three men and one woman, all in their 20s, were arrested following a search of a house in Carlow town shortly after 9am.
They are currently being detained at Carlow garda station.
