Organisers for the Chris Cornell tribute concert set for tonight in the States at the Los Angeles Forum have announced additions to the line up.

I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell, will see appearances from Josh Homme, the Melvins and Fiona Apple set to join Metallica, Foo Fighters, Ryan Adams and remaining members of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog.

Chris Stapleton, Miley Cyrus, Brandi Carlile and Miguel were also confirmed for the tribute show which kicks off at the Forum in Los Angeles, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Faith No More singer Mike Patton cancelled because of sickness, saying to his fellow musicians,

“Best wishes to my friends Ben [Sherman], Kim [Thayill] and Matt [Cameron] and to Chris‘s family. It is going to be quite an evening. I also want to thank the Los Angeles Rams for the invitation to sing the national anthem last weekend. A bad week to not be feeling good.”

Cornell’s widow Vicky said when the event was announced.

“We are honored to have all these amazing artists and friends come together to pay tribute to and show their love and appreciation for Chris, his music and the mark he’s left on the world. We look forward to sharing this night with all the fans.” Ultimate Classic Rock reports that all pofits will be donated to the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation and the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
