Gardai Arrest Two Women Following Huge Drugs Bust In Dublin

Two women have been arrested as gardai seized €670,000 worth of crack cocaine and heroin in Bluebell, Dublin late last night.

One woman was arrested after being stopped in her car by gaurds while the other was apprehended after a raid on a home. The first suspect was stopped in a car yesterday evening before being arrested. After searching the vehicle, Gardai discovered €4000 worth of suspected heroin.

The suspect, in her 30s, was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station. Gardai then raided a house in Bluebell, Dublin where a huge discovery of 4.5 kilos of suspected crack cocaine and heroin was seized.

The drugs have an approximate street value of €670,000. A small number of perscription pills were also discovered. The second woman, also in her 30s, was apprehended at this particular house and is being detained at Kevin Street Garda Station.

According to The Irish Sun, A garda spokesman said, “Gardai from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force, and supported by a number of specialised units from DMR have arrested two women, both aged in their 30s, in Bluebell, Dublin as part of on going investigations targeting an organised crime group in South and West Dublin.

“Gardai stopped a vehicle this evening at approximately 5pm which was driven by a woman. After a search of the vehicle, suspected heroin, with an estimated street value of €4,000 was seized (subject to analysis).

“She was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Ballyfermot Garda Station.”
