Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Dublin in the early hours of the 9th of December.
The woman alleges that she was attacked in a car in the Dublin 4 and Dublin 1 areas.
This alleged attack took place when the woman got into a car on Shelbourne Road on Sunday the 9th of December.
The car travelled through Ballsbridge, Merrion Road, Serpentine Avenue, before heading to the Northside to the Mountjoy area of the city.
Gardaí made an appeal for information on the suspect and last Thursday a man was arrested.
He was taken to Irishtown Garda station for questioning and was released without charge the following day.
Garda have also seized a car in connection with the investigation.
A file is now being prepared for the DPP.
