Gardaí Investigaing The Murder Of Ana Kriegel Await DNA Results

Gardai investigating the murder of a 14 year-old girl in Dublin are awaiting DNA results. Ana Kriegel was found dead in Lucan on Thursday after going missing on Monday. Ana Kriegel went to school on Monday and later that evening visited the local St. Catherine’s Park but didn’t return home and was reported missing.

It sparked a major search by gardai including local officers, the water unit and civil defence. The body of the 14 year old was discovered in a derelict farmhouse on the Clonee Road in Lucan on Thursday afternoon. Door to door enquiries are being carried out by gardai in the area, while a forensic examination is being carried out at the scene.

No arrests have been made. Officers are trying to trace her last movements and are appealing for witnesses to contact Lucan garda station.
