Gardai have launched a witnesses appeal after a number of shots were fired in West Dublin last night.

The incident happened in Clondalkin shortly before 9 o’clock.

At around 8:50pm last night Gardai received reports of shots being fired in the Fonthill Cottages area of Clondalkin.

Upon arriving, they found a number of bullet holes in the front windows of two separate homes.

No one was in either property at the time of the incident, and no one was injured.

The scene was then sealed off, while a technical exam was carried out.

No arrests have been made at this point, while investigations are ongoing.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact them.

They’re particularly interested in hearing from anyone who have seen a Black Audi or a Silver Volkwagen Golf.
