Customers of the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service are being warned about a scam doing the rounds.
People are being told they are the subject of a deportation order and they must pay an administration payment.
The scammers are using the legitimate number of the INIS to enhance their credibility.
Gardaí have asked customers not to give out any information over the phone.
