Glastonbury Announces Rod Stewart For 2025 Legend Slot

Rod Stewart will perform for Glastonbury’s Legends slot next year, the festival have confirmed.

The singer will play the festival’s Pyramid Stage on 29 June 2025, having previously headlined Glastonbury in 2002, alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing @glastonbury 2025! After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!”, Stewart said. 

Confirming the news, Glastonbury shared this post on social media.

“We’re excited to announce that Sir @RodStewart will play the Sunday teatime legend slot at Glastonbury 2025″, they said.

Rod Stewart Back At Glastonbury is “everything we could wish for”

In a separate update, Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis wrote this message.

“Bringing Sir Rod Stewart back for the Sunday afternoon slot on the Pyramid stage is everything we could wish for. What a way to bow out with the final legends slot before we take a fallow year. We cannot wait!”, she wrote.

Last week, Rod Stewart revealed plans to finish up with “large scale world tours” when his current fun of shows finish up next year.

Stewart who announced a major run of shows for next year, said that these performances would be his last set of major gigs. He did insist that he has no plans to retire.
