A wet start this Monday is leading to frustration for drivers and commuters this morning.

Mainly due to a partial Luas closure. There’s also been a collision on the M50 which has added to delays that were already building on the motorway.

The collision happened northbound at J16 Cherrywood with queues forming past J15 Kilternan, and it’s also very busy southbound from the M1.

According to AA Roadwatch: “Northbound on the M50, a collision has been cleared at J16 Cherrywood. Traffic remains slowing from before J16 to J15 Kilternan.”

“Southbound traffic is very busy intermittently from the M1 Interchange right through to J12 Firhouse.”

Meanwhile, the Luas red line is not in operation between Blackhorse and Heuston due to a technical fault at the Suir Road stop.

Luas operators said: “Due to a technical fault at Suir Road trams are operating from Tallaght/ Saggart to Blackhorse and from Heuston to Connolly/The Point.

“There is no service between Blackhorse and Heuston. Luas tickets are valid on Dublin bus for the duration of this disruption.”
