Investigations Ongoing After Overnight Shooting In Dublin

Investigations are underway into an overnight shooting incident in Dublin. It is after a man was shot in the leg at a house in Bluebell.

Just after 11 O’ Clock last night, a man in his 40s answered a call to the front door of a house on La Touche Drive in Bluebell. He was shot in the leg by a lone gunman who is understood to have fled the scene on foot.

After being treated at the scene, the victim of last night’s attack was brought to St James Hospital in the city, where his injuries are said to be non-life threatening. An appeal for witnesses has been made with Gardaí appealing for anyone who may have information to contact them.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing. The scene was preserved for a technical examination.
