Former White Stripes frontman Jack White made his return to playing live with two intimate gigs at his Third Man Records label in Nashville.

The former White Stripes man previewed his new solo album ‘Boarding House Reach’ (artwork below), at the headquarters of his record label over two nights. There’s no media available since White has banned phones from his shows. However fans did manage to upload two setlists to Setlist.fm

This week, White will play smaller shows in L.A, New York and London. ‘Boarding House Reach‘ is out on 23rd March via Third Man Records/XL Recordings, and will be White’s third solo LP. It features a brand new group of musicians.

Back in January, the singer announced his first UK shows in four years, headlining London’s Eventim Apollo on June 27 and 28. The dates are sold out but a new show on 26 June has been added.

White has banned phones from all of his gigs and users must keep them in a locked pouch throughout, to give an ‘100% human experience’. The singer has commented that he is ‘wasting time’ performing for people ‘who can’t even clap’ because they have a phone in one hand and a bevvy in the other.
