Rob Halford, lead singer with Judas Priest has been the latest victim of “fake news”. That’s after an article surfaced on a spoof website that made claims that the metal hero was found unresponsive in his home in San Diego.

Devoted fans should have seen a massive error in the alleged report concerning the location. That’s because it’s common knowledge that Halford lives in Phoenix.

A user on the site React365 created an article that stated that frontman Halford was discovered unresponsive at the imagined home and was rushed to a nearby hospital to undergo treatment. The report also stated that opiates were apparently found close to him.

According to Antimusic, Loudwire reached out to Halford concerning the fake report and he confirmed that it was all untrue. Speaking to the site, Halford said,

“No I’m not. Horrible for our fans. Please let everyone know I’m in Phoenix packing my bags for Knotfest and can’t wait to see our metal maniacs!”
