Gardai are investigating a fire at the ‘Bottom Of The Hill’ pub in Finglas in North Dublin.

Gardai and the Fire Brigade were called to the scene at 12.40am on Thursday morning.

Fire Brigade units battled the fire for several hours, before it was extinguished shortly before 8am.

In a post on Twitter, Dublin Fire Brigade said the “large” fire appeared to start in an office above the pub.

The scene is being preserved for an examination later today.

No one was injured and Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

Reacting to the incident, Dublin Councillor Noeleen Reilly says the building has been “badly damaged and it will be a shock for the community to see.”

She added that it’s a relief nobody was hurt.
