In light of his brother’s recent comments, Liam Gallagher has responded to Noel’s accusations that he is too much of a “coward” to call him about an Oasis reunion.

Noel made these comments in a recent interview with TalkSport, where he insisted that while he is open to a reunion, the onus is on his estranged brother to make the first move and get in touch.

“I put [a reunion] out there … I mean, he should call me”, Gallagher told TalkSport.  “I’m open to a phone call. Other than that, stop playing with the kids, it’s not fair on the fans”.

“He won’t speak”

However, Noel claimed that Liam Gallagher is too much of a “coward” to call him and organise this reunion.

“He’s forever going on about it, you’d have thought by now he’d have some kind of plan. And if he’s got a plan he should he should speak to me. He won’t speak to me because he’s a coward”, Noel said.

“But he should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say, ‘look, this is what we’re thinking’ and then we’ll have a conversation about it. Until then, he’s a little bit disingenuous”.

“the audacity”

Responding to these comments, Liam Gallagher dismissed his brother’s allegations that he is a “coward”.

The singer also took aim at Noel over a passed controversy, which saw the songwriter forced to apologise after he had previously wished that the bandmembers of Oasis’ 90s rivals Blur would die of AIDS.

In a series of tweets, Liam Gallagher also alleged that Noel “hates Oasis fans”.

“I don’t wish AIDS on people I turn up and play the MUSIC for the people of MANCHESTER who have just had a terror attack while you sit on your dingy sipping champagne and you got the audacity to call me a COWARD”, Liam wrote earlier today.

He added, “He’s full of s*** he HATES Oasis fans [but] doesn’t mind them buying his records”.

Liam later reiterated the statement for a fan, who claimed that Noel does not feel that way “at all”.

Following his comments ragarding AIDS, Noel Gallagher issued an apology.

“We were all f***** taking drugs… I kinda thought we were speaking off the record, but of course there was a tape recorder on”, he said at the time. “But, there you go. I obviously don’t wish that. A bad cold I should have said. Flu maybe?”.
