Liam Gallagher called his estranged brother Noel a “miserable are” after listening to the musician’s new song.

The track in question, ’Trying To Find A World That’s Been And Gone’, was released by Noel on New Year’s Day to preview his upcoming solo album.

Noel shared a link to the demo on his Twitter account, where brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam Gallagher responded, writing “Miserable are cheer up you billionaire”.

When a fan tweeted back at Liam asking “Do you not think this is the year you guys finally make up Liam?”, the rocker replied in the negative saying “Is it fuck.”

Noel has not released a new studio album since he dropped ‘Who Built The Moon’ in 2017. Fans were excited then when he announced the news that he had finished writing and demoing the LP just before the holidays.

“So we didn’t actually get there in the end did we?” Gallagher said in a message. “I finished writing/demoing the next NGHFB album about 10 days ago. Thought you might wanna hear this little piece which – like last year’s offering – sounds quite appropriate for this New Year’s Day.”

He finished by saying: “Hope you had THE BEST night (as much as was allowed anyway) and hopefully we’ll catch up somewhere in the summer.”
