Liam Gallagher and Liam Fray of the Courteeners’ are among the famous faces who will be hosting a sing-a-long livestream event ‘Together In One Voice’ this Thursday.
The residents of Greater Manchester are being encouraged to sing from their doorsteps and the event will be livestreamed on YouTube.
The singalong will also feature a number of other famous musicians, including Mark Owen, Emeli Sande and Tom Walker who will introduce songs while adding their own contributions.
Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said: “Together In One Voice will help us all feel connected, despite the need to keep a distance, and will be one of those incredible occasions which make Greater Manchester so special. We are grateful to some of our biggest names for supporting our communities in this and creating a moment we’ll never forget.
“I would encourage everyone to get involved and get out on your doorstep!”
The event will be filmed on drones, residents own devices and street cameras which will then be edited along with interviews to produce an extended broadcast on YouTube this Sunday the 31st May.
