Lidl is rolling out online grocery shopping across Dublin with delivery times starting at one hour.
The service will be in conjunction with the delivery app Buymie that operates in the grocery sector the way Deliveroo operates in the restaurant trade.
The Irish Times reports that the app will send your shopping list to a nearby ‘picker’ who will go to the nearest Lidl to fetch the items on the list and deliver them.
The minimum order will be €20, with delivery charges ranging from €6.99 for one hour to €3.99 for three hours.
