The Vodafone Comedy Festival has revealed its biggest line-up yet for a stellar 2018 and it definitely doesn't disappoint.
The line-up once again boasts a mix of Ireland’s biggest names in comedy including Tommy Tiernan, Jason Byrne and Deirdre O’Kane alongside acclaimed podcasts such as The Blindboy Podcast, An Irishman Abroad and The Alison Spittle Show.
Moreover, there's set to be a host of star-studded comedy acts from around the world such as festival favourite Rory Scovel, Michael Che from Saturday Night Live, Michael Kosta from The Daily Show, as well as Sam Jay, Tim Dillon and Janelle James, who have all just recorded Netflix specials, along with our very own Aisling Bea.
This year’s festival is shaping up to be the most exciting yet, with over 120 acclaimed performers from Ireland and across the globe confirmed to bring laughter and craic to Dublin’s beautiful Iveagh Gardens.
The festival takes place across five fully seated venues over four fun packed days from July 26th - 29th and tickets go on sale this Friday, June 15th at 9am.
The US will also be well represented this year with Nicole Byer, Adam Cayton-Holland, Jamie Lee, Joe List, Rhea Butcher and alternative mavericks Neil Hamburger, John Early, Kate Berlant and more.
Festival-favourites The Improv Allstars and Seann Walsh, will also be on the line-up. So too will Rob Kemp, who brings his multi-award winning show ‘The Elvis Dead’.
Homegrown talent continues to be at the heart of the Vodafone Comedy Festival and this year will see household names from the Irish comedy scene such as David O’Doherty, Neil Delamare, Barry Murphy, Bernard O’Shea, Farmer Michael, Al Foran and Kevin McGahern take centre stage.
While fresh from hanging up her ballroom dancing shoes, Deirdre O’Kane will join fellow renowned funny women; Enya Martin, Joanne McNally, Emma Doran, Katherine Lynch, Tara Flynn and The Nualas at this year’s festival.
Tickets for the festival are sold on a show-by-show basis and it is strictly an over 18s event.
