Your Smartphone Can Permanently Damage Your Eyesight

A new study has revealed how the blue light from smartphones and laptops damages your eyesight and can cause blindness.

Scientists say the light encourages cells in the eye to generate poisonous molecules that cause an incurable condition that leads to blindness.

Researchers are hopeful the study can lead to new therapies or eyedrops that can slow the degeneration.

In the meantime, you can protect your eyes in two ways - wear sunglasses that filter out blue light and avoiding using devices in the dark.
