Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks have shared their new collaboration with Kim Gordon. You can listen to the new track, ‘Refute’ below. It’s a breezy country number and Gordon sounds a little like, Velvet Underground’s Nico in her vocals on the track
The former Pavement frontman’s band are getting ready to release their latest album, Sparkle Hard, on May 18th out via Matador Records. It’ll be Malkmus’ seventh record with his band The Jicks, following on from 2014’s Wig Out at Jagbags.
The record’s latest single, ‘Refute’, is now available to stream ahead of the LP’s release next month, with the new song featuring ex-Sonic Youth musician Gordon. You can check it out now below, streaming via Spotify.
