In a couple of weeks time, Neko Case will release her first solo album in five years, Hell-On. She’s also set to hit these shores for a gig at Vicar Street on November 6th. The new record is a follow up to 2013’s The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You,
Case had a number of musicians join her in the studio. The long list of special guests, included K.D. Lang, her New Pornographers bandmate AC Newman, Doug Gillard,Laura Veirs and Gossip’s Beth Ditto.
Now, Case has shared one of her co-written songs, ‘Curse of the I-5 Corridor’ and it features rock legend Mark Lanegan. The collaboration is an expansive, seven-minute arrangement that finds both artists with their unique voices exchanging lines about journeying up and down the West Coast highway.
