Gardaí investigating the serious assault of a female that occurred in the early hours of Sunday April 25th have arrested and charged a man.
The woman, aged in her 30s, suffered a miscarriage following the attack on Dame Street.
The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He has since been charged in relation to this investigation and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
