Gardaí in Irishtown have charged a man with possession of and the distribution of child sexual abuse material. He will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice today.
As part of an ongoing two-year investigation, a man in his 30s, was arrested yesterday morning, Monday 27th July 2020 at around 9am.
Officer were assisted by detectives from the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau as well those attached to the Divisional Protective Services Unit in Kevin Street Garda Station.
The man has since been charged for possession of child abuse material and distribution of child abuse material on occasions between December 2017 and July 2020.
