Manchester United can make the most of Manchester City’s defeat to Liverpool, by beating Stoke at Old Trafford tonight.

The Reds brought the Premier League leaders unbeaten run to an end with a 4-3 victory at Anfield last night.

Untied will cut City’s lead at the top of the table to 12 points if they beat the Potters in their first game since Mark Hughes’ sacking.

Stoke are still looking for a new boss following the news that Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill turned down the job. Eddie Niedzwiecki is in temporary charge for Stoke’s first game since Mark Hughes sacking. Former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is now in the running for the post.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 8 o’clock.
