A booking portal for mandatory hotel quarantine has gone live this morning.
A 12-night stay will cost €1,875 with meals included.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin says he expects more countries to be added to the list.
Deputy Paul Murphy, from People Before Profit, says the measures are still not enough:
“This should apply to all incoming travellers. Anything less than that is an invitation to the virus and to new variants of the virus to continue to come in and so it doesn’t make any sense to do what the government is doing, which is just to list a series of African and South American countries together with Austria and the UAE.”
