Metallica Donated Huge Sum To Charities During European Tour


Metallica gifted more than 1.5 million euros to a number of local charities during the rocker’s recently completed summer 2019 European stint of their “WorldWired” tour.

The generous donations were given by the band over the course of 25 shows. Blabbermouth reports that the donations were made through the metaller’s non-profit foundation All Within My Hands.

The organisation was set up in 2017 with the intention of investing in the people and places that have supported the band. Metallica’s final summer 2019 donation was made on August 25th with a 63,000-euro given to Freezone Mannheim.

The outreach programme provides youth welfare services in Mannheim to children, adolescents and young adults who living completely or partially on the streets.

The rockers shared a photo of the band as well as three Freezone Mannheim representatives with a massive a check, and the caption:

“A HUGE thanks to all who attended a #WorldWired European show for helping us donate over €1.5million to local charities over the course of the 25-show tour. And special thanks to #MetInMannheim fans for wrapping it up with this contribution to Freezone. #MetallicaGivesBack #AWMH”

Before rocking the foundations of Slane Castle over the summer, the band made a super-generous donation to one of Dublin’s homeless centres. During rehearsals at the venue, they donated €35,000 to the Capuchin Day Centre.

All Within My Hands donated more than $750,000 to local food banks around the world in its first six months of operation.

The band and the Foundation continued to make donations to food banks on their recent North American and European tours. In total the band have donated at least $10,000 to local food banks in every city and met workers who focus their daily lives on assisting others. Legends.
