My Morning Jacket have released a new video for their latest single ‘Compund Fracture’. The video also shows footage from their gig at Red Rocks.

The video was directed by veteran photographer Danny Clinch and is centred around My Morning Jacket’s August concert at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre .

As well as capturing the band’s performance it also blends footage of the the gorgeous scenery surrounding Red Rocks with the enraptured audience and the pre-show routine of the band.

Clinch manages to craft a psychedelic collage that captures the band’s potent, vibrant on-stage aura. It is the first video from My Morning Jacket since they released their new album The Waterfall back in May.

It was My Morning Jacket’s first album since 2011’s Circuital and it was recorded at a secluded mansion at Stinson Beach in Northern California. Initially recording had to be halted because frontman Jim James suffered a herniated disc while moving an amp.

During that time however the band wrote a new a number of new songs, so much songs that they are even thinking of releasing another album sometime next year.
