The National Youth Council of Ireland is making a final call for young people to ensure they’re registered to vote.

Wednesday is the deadline for inclusion on the electoral register ahead of next month’s general election.

There are almost 700-thousand eighteen to twenty nine year olds entitled to vote next month. Whatever party or candidate you’re considering giving your number one to, you have to be registered beforehand.

James Doorley – who is the deputy director at the National Youth Council of Ireland – is urging people to get it done today: And he adds that every polling station around the country will have a list of who is eligible:

So the message is clear, if you’re not on the electoral register by this Wednesday, you’ll not be voting on February 8th.
